Spectroquant® Data Transfer

Description

The Spectroquant® Data Transfer receives data on an infrared interface. This module allows the user to connect a specific USB printer, serial printer or a PC using a USB connector. The Data Transfer is a middleware to transmit data received on the IR interface to a USB or RS232 interface as per users selection.

If a PC is used to receive data from Data Transfer the USB port should be used. If a colorimeter is connected, it transmits test results through infrared according to the test method. The Data Transfer receives the data through
infrared and transmits them to one of the following channels depending on the user’s selection:
• USB printer with HPPCL up to version 5 (HP Deskjet 6940)
• USB COM Class (PC)
• RS232 connection (serial interface)*

All three interfaces can be connected at power up. The interfaces can be selected by pressing the SELECT key of the Data Transfer. On power up the last selected interface is active.
* All ASCII printer with serial interface can be used.
