Description
DESCRIPTION
General description
Analytical standards such as melting point standard 47-49 °C, benzophenone facilitate the determination of identity or purity of chemical compounds. The mp value is measured as an average of 6 to 12 measurements with a Büchi B-545 instrument that is calibrated against primary standards. The melting point is determined by Capillary method, as described in European Pharmacopeia (2.2.14.).
Application
Benzophenone melting point standard 47-49 °C is a melting point calibration standard for use in physicochemical characterization.
