Description
This Spectroquant® Copper Reagent Test allows the accurate quantification of the copper content in aqueous samples.
Method applied: In an ammoniacal medium copper(II) ions react with cuprizone to form a blue complex which is determined photometrically. This test measures only copper(II) ions. Samples must be decomposed by digestion before undissolved or complex-bound copper can be measured. In the presence of hydrogen peroxide copper(I) ions are measured as well.
