Application
Legionella Agar Base with the addition of supplement is used for the presumptive identification of Legionella species.
Preparation Note
Suspend 12.5 grams in 450 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Cool to 50°C and aseptically add contents of 1 vial of Legionella BCYE Supplement without L-Cysteine.
